Tinnitus Functional Index. A 25-item questionnaire developed by Meikle and colleagues in 2012 that scores tinnitus impact across eight domains: intrusiveness, sense of control, cognition, sleep, hearing, relaxation, quality of life and emotional distress. It is more sensitive to change over time than older measures, which is why HushOS uses TFI-style items in the daily check-in.
